Speed vs. Performance

Source: blogspot.com
The computer is a machine that a lot of people use because they think the know how it works, but in most cases no one really knows how it works and they use it for their own pleasure. So what if you computer starts to become slow and feel really choppy when you are trying to use it, what would you do. A computer uses a lot of different parts to make it run like it is suppose to run with the most speed and the most performance. The overall performance of the computer depends on how compatible the parts are with each other and how well it works together, the three main parts of the computer that really affect the overall performance are RAM, memory, the processor or CPU, and the video card.

As said in the article What affects a computers performance by Lehigh University, a prestigious University in Pennsylvania, that on of the most important parts of the computer is the processor or the CPU and it is the CPU does most of the encrypting and encoding of the files, but very rarely those the CPU uses 100% of its power because most people on computer are reading some online or sending an email, etc and during this time the CPU is using about 1 or 2 percent of its power.

And the other important parts of the computer would be the RAM sticks, hard drives, and the video card which all go hand in hand with each other by all of them going onto the motherboard of the computer. RAM and hard disk are two important thing to make a computer run smoothly. If you try to run a heavy memory operating system on a computer with very little RAM and memory space it probably run very slow or not run at all. The video card as is important, whenever your computer puts an image on the screen the video card renders it to make it as crisp and as smooth as possible to see the most of what you are looking at, but What are different trade-offs for different uses?
