In the article Workstation vs Gaming vs Desktop: Which PC is for you? they talk about workstations and gaming computers because they are the most used today. What is the difference between these two computers, they are exactly the same right? No they are not the same, Workstations are for things like 3D Modeling, video editing/rendering and other related things require more CPU power and more RAM. The additional CPU power and RAM will often be lost on games and you won't see an increase in the quality of your game play until the games advance far enough to need those extra resources.
Gaming computers use more graphics power and RAM to keep a game running at a good frame rate and a high resolution with no excessive amounts of RAM and storage to keep the power focus on the graphics video card.
But How do they increase performance while minimizing cost?

This was very interesting, but you could have added more you did not really get into details.
ReplyDeleteI like how you went into detail about what computers do and why you might need a better one. However, I would add a little more information on the different types of computers. For example, what is a gaming computer or what is a workstation?
