Movies in Modern Day

http://www.familyandmedia.eu

Obviously filmmaking changes a lot overtime. Right when TVs were invented, movies were black and white, there were silent movies. Then moving on to the classics, involving a dramatic love story and a lot of men in suits. Then comedy came a long and so on. But now that the technology world is so extensive, there is no way to name the trend of movies in this time era.

You are probably asking who and what is changing that drastically. In the article http://www.familyandmedia.eu/en/internet-and-social-network/who-are-they-and-why-do-kids-like-them-so-much/  , It talks about who you tubers are, the people essential changing the movie game. They basically film their lives on on iPhone or a small point and shoot camera, talk about relevant topics in the world, make a few jokes here and there, edit it into a 10 minute video, post it and end up getting millions of views. Our generations considers that the source of entertainment rather than going to the movie theatre and watch and hour and a half movie. Obviously that will decrease the funding of movies and theatres, and increase the income to actors who work for online companies. People can also access movies on their TVs, Netflix and OnDemand, so clearly having access to digital media right in your own home will change the culture and production of movies.

This day in age movies hold a much different purpose than 15 years ago. Because of this, has revenue changed over time?
